I have taught Greek, Latin and ancient history at Providence College for almost three decades. My specific interests include the following: Greek poetry; mythology; Greek tragedy; Greek intellectual history; Seneca; medieval Latin; classical America (i.e. influence of Greece and Rome on America from the founding to modern times); classical tradition (influence of ancient cultures on European art, literature and music); ancient India. In recent years I have revived my studies in Sanskrit and have taught a few students this ancient language as well.
