Undergraduate Program
The major in History and Classics offers two tracks: the traditional BA in History and the BA in History/Secondary Education. We also offer a History minor as well. Come see how our students are expanding their historical educations beyond the classroom with classes that satisfy the college’s core requirements. For those with a passion for ancient Greece and Rome, check out the Classics Major and Minor program. Every year, our students present their work at the Making History Conference, travel abroad in the Maymester program, conduct original research in the senior thesis program, receive department awards and are inducted into Phi Alpha Theta, the history honors society.
If you have any questions regarding the History or Classics major or minor please reach out to our Assistant Department Chair, Dr. Alexander Orquiza. Dr. Orquiza can be found in Ruane 130 or reached by his email, rorquiza@providence.edu.
